Gia’s Baptism: A celebration of family, faith, and captured memories
Baptism’s are a beautiful and meaningful milestone in a child's life and in the life of a family. They represent the welcoming of a new member into the community of faith, and the commitment of parents and godparents to raise the child in that faith. They are also an opportunity for family and friends to gather in celebration and support.
We recently had the pleasure of capturing Gab and Paul's daughter's baptism, and it was such a special and beautiful day. As photographers, it's always an honor to be a part of such an important milestone in a family's life. The candid moments that we get to capture during these types of events are truly priceless.
Gab and Paul's home was filled with beautiful natural light and it was the perfect setting for the getting ready shots. The natural light within their home truly made Gia shine and she looked so adorable in her outfit!
We know that planning for a special occasion (like a baptism) can be overwhelming, so we wanted to share some tips that we think might be helpful.
First, it's important to find a photographer whose style and vibe match your own. You want to make sure that your memories are captured in a way that feels true to you and your family.
Second, we recommend planning for extra time so that you're not rushed for photos and can fully enjoy the special moments. Tip: it's a good idea to proactively ask family members who are going to be in the photos to arrive early to ensure no precious moment is missed.
Finally, plan ahead and work on getting details such as shoes, invitations, and/or any jewelry for the occasion put aside ahead of time to ensure your photographer is able to capture those detailed shots for a stunning flat lay. The last thing you want is to be scrabbling at the last minute, while balancing hosting your family and getting yourself and the “guest of honor” ready for the special occasion.
Remember that these special moments are worth capturing and preserving. So, if you’re thinking about hiring a photography for an upcoming event, take the time to find the right photographer for you, and enjoy every moment of your special occasion.
